On november 22nd we started the MRC Snowfall Challenge. The purpose of this programming contest is creating a demo for MSX which contains an effect in which you can see snow falling. You are allowed to create this demo in any programming language and on any MSX system (ranging from the most simple MSX1 computer to an MSX turboR with 4096kB RAM, GFX9000 and Moonsound). Of course you are allowed to add other demo-elements as well. In this forum topic you can see a very simple example in MSX-BASIC. Here, you can also discuss the contents and its (your?) submissions in general. The first entry was already received, created by Nyyrikki in the strange programming language called 'BrainFuck'. You can download it here. We would like you to join in in this contest and send in your snowfall creations as well. Why? Because developing software for MSX is fun! Need more reasons? Well, ok, you can also win one of the following prizes:

The deadline for this programming contest is January 5th, 2004, so you have little over a month to complete your entry (or entries). So get a move on! Show the true power of MSX, and show off your MSX programming skills!!

What's lame is that you complain about a DONATED PRIZE!

Besides, would you really wear it ? I would put it on the wall here as decoration and as a trophy. So, size doesn't matter at all.. (for me)

really, why shouldnt i complain? note that i did say i'd be great to have such a shirt. size DOES matter... does it matter if it's a donated prize? sounds like you're talking about the dutch "een gegeven paard niet in de bek kijken." but i DO look in its mouth... gifts must be useful too.. so, let me complain about the tiny size.

Well, start your diet now, and you should be able to wear the shirt in January. That is, when you win the price... :-)

Say, is it possible to compete using a .dsk image?
I'm asking this, since if that is possible, I may want to compete using CA3 and Fat.tw.set 3, since I can suff code fast on that system and easily load shit 100% asm Tongue
Or do I need to give an autoexec.bas which will load it?
btw. Fat.tw.set 3 is updated to support DOS2, so if anyone wants to, we can re-release tunez 2, so it'll work with DOS2...
