Spanish translators wanted

Topic: MRC

Since june 2003 we have been working a lot on our website behind the screens. One of the things we have been working on, and plan to introduce later this year, is the possibility to offer the content of our website in multiple languages. After a lot of testing, tweaking and translating the interface of the MRC we are nearing the point where we can go online with our Spanish site. However, nobody likes to look at an empty site so we need the help of Spanish MSX users! Not only do we need part of our existing news archive translated to Spanish, but also the new postings.

The more people join in, the better. When we have a solid and steady team just like we have for our English site, we will launch the Spanish site. We need quite a few translators, because it's more fun when you can work with some fellow msx-ers (and less has to be translated per person).

Apart from English to Spanish translators, we are also interested in people who would like to translate from English to Dutch, or English to Japanese.

Join our translator team! Be the first to know about new things, be a part of our internal discussion group and read up to date news about the progress of this site. Help shape MSX.ORG and MSX in your country!

Interested? Fill in the join our team form

Ok guys, but you have forgotten English to Portuguese... Brazil have a very large comunity but it is too few integrated to the world (by this site). Translating the site to Portuguese would be a great way to join we all together. The density of users around the world is low, so having a point of encounter (here) is a good way to join all together and making us a strong community!

So, English -> Portuguese Too!! Smile

Maybe, once this thing is in the air, you should make special forums for Spanish and Brazilian talk?

Ah, well, I bet you already thought of that Smile.

Although I am brazilian, i am not sure if special portuguese/spanish/dutch/japanese forum would be good, because, that would exclude the rest of the community from those discusions...

Unless that the forum session would be a specific brazilian/spanish/dutch/japanese subjects with a rule of messages in the those areas in both languges: english and native. What do you think so?

No, the MRC community will keep as it, regardless of the possible language versions of the site; don't worry about it Smile

Problem here is that there are a lot of Brazilian and Spanish MSX users that really don't have a clue what I'm typing here. So for those people it would be good also, to have their own discussion boards, if that's the only way to participate in this community. We need a lot of internal discussion about that. If there ever comes such a forum, we will only consider it when there are devoted forum moderators for that language. MSX and MSX.ORG minded people, who agree to embrace and enforce our forum policies when needed.
