Today, Takeda Toshiya released an CP/M emulator for Windows capable of running CP/M .com files. To accomplish this, Z80 emulation is included as well. As you probably know, MSX is capable of running CP/M programs, like the PMARC/PMEXT compression suite. Using this emulator, it is possible to use this software on PC as well. You can find an interesting article on the history of CP/M on this website, which is worth checking out. In the future, Takeda Toshiya plans to release a Sigmarion 3 port of the emulator as well.

I wanted to test it's performance by running gen80 on it, but unfortunately it doesn't run properly on this emulator Sad

It is a test-release version. Looking at the website, the developer understands 'simple' English. Maybe you could report to him that GEN80 is not working properly? He might focus on it for a next release Wink

There is another CP/M emulator that actually runs very fine. It is called 22NICE.COM and it is a tiny TSR that allows to execute CP/M COM files. It is for MS-DOS, but it runs fine under Win98 (the SO that I am currently using). You can download it from FUNET.

And I think that it is able to execute GEN80, but I haven't tested it yet.

22NICE runs gen80 almost correctly. I've been using it for more than 4 years (for Bombaman of course), it usually runs fine but sometimes it gets in endless loops or something (don't know if that's a bug in the emulator or gen80 itself). Adding extra blank lines in sourcecode helps though.
