Falcom announced that YS VI - The Ark of Napishtim is coming to console systems before the end of 3rd quarter 2004. Which consoles and whether or not it will be translated for foreign markets is unknown.

We reported earlier about the PC Windows version being released, and on 4gamer's Ys VI site is, among others, a preview movie available.

GFX looks cool, Audio sux like hell (crappy music)

The downloaded movie sux even more, just an advertisement. Not worth spending any bandwidth on those 31 Mbytes of data!

The game looks impresive though...

Duh! What did you expect? A preview IS an advertisment!!!

The only gripe I have with this movie is that the source material was interlaced and thus the video quality is lower than optimal.

But the content, AWESOME! It looks absolutely stunning, a worthy sequel to the Ys series, and from what I see, the original gameplay has been left in-tact. What more could one want Smile

And I LOVE the music, it's going back to the roots of Ys, in stead of the Ys 4/5 style.

sure? you like the music? hmm, I've downloaded the 3 samples and they all suck as hell. Crappy drumkit, crappy guitar.. Absolute no dynamics.. blaaaah. The game looks stunning though, and hope gameplay WILL be as expected. would be a nice x-mas gift.. sight.
