A new beta version of GXSCC has been released. GXSCC is quite a unique MIDI player to support MID/SMF/RCP formats and, enables you to play SMF, MID and RPC files on a software-emulated SCC chip. Download it here!

It's quite nice to hear MIDIs in SCC sound. I wonder how cool would be to have MSX games with such quality. Smile

BTW, it could have a PSG only mode. Smile

GXSCC also has an easter-egg mode to play MIDIs using the OPLL (aka MSX-Music/FM-PAC) instead of the SCC. To switch between modes, just double-click on its logo, located on the upper-left region of the program' s window.

It has. Not only a PSG mode, but a NES (Famicom) mode also.

On SCC mode, just click on the "config" button, then on "Instrument set" box select "All Square set" for PSG mode or "Famicom set for the NES mode.
