In contemporary demo parties, the old 8-bit garde is well represented. Not all that often with MSX entries (it's mostly C64, Spectrum and such), so if ever an MSX1 entry enters a demo party then it's worth our attention. This weekend, the Revision 2013 party takes place. For people who haven't ever been to such parties: it's usually a full weekend with barely any sleep, halls filled with demo makers fighting the deadline of a contest and entries being shown on a large screen.
Lieves!Tuore is well known for being perfectly integrated with the demo culture of such parties, a place where all the scroll 'n logo demos of our own 90's wouldn't really have worked. Their latest entry is called Amurisus, an entry for MSX1. Like many MSX1 productions it's all tile-based animations, meaning the screen action is rather fast. No scrolltexts and certainly no anti-greetings - a silly concept we're laughing at now.. no? The entry can be seen on YouTube (among other entries), so.. enjoy! And do note that it's actually mentioned that MSX1 is to be 30 years old this year, keep that in mind, next time you open a bottle o' beer!
