Firebird - Hidden Debugmode

While decoding the password systems of Konami's Firebird, Lars the 18th discovered a hidden password that can launch a debug mode in this game. In this debug mode, you're invulnerable to enemies, you get all the items/stones and level data is shown on screen. To see all this for yourself, Lars provided an IPS patch file to activate the hidden password for your firebird.rom, and in addition to that, there's an example video on YouTube of this.

You have all the possible 5-letter words in use like "CHEAT", "POWER", "DEBUG", "ELITE" or even "CINIC", but then you select "AAAAA"... How utterly boring! Tongue

Can we expect a debug mode for usas?After all these years i cant believe that this is the correct end for the game.I suspect there must be some code,or a cartridge combination that executes the correct code and we see a proper ending without the world being destroyed.After all wit and cles are 2 young kids,how could they cestroy the world ?

Anyone with a dissasembler and hex data to search?

@NYYRIKKI
I have considered of using CINIC as password, but have not done it Tongue

@Vampier
My goal was to enable the hidden password, not to enable all cheats with one password.

In the 1983 movie "War Games" the computer geek played by Matthew Broderick hacked into the NORAD system and was given a choice of "games" to "play." If you were a high school student or a megalomaniac and were given the "game" choices above, which would you choose? It appears that the U.S. has been preparing to "play" global thermonuclear war for the last several years.

Thank you for the usas thread.Maybe it needs another cartridge in second slot as to see the correct ending?Didn't konami do this on games like salamander and nemesis?I kind of suspect this could be the case here,maybe code that is present on another cartridge that displays the correct end?Anyone care to try that in emulators?

Yes it says that nothing was found other than the japanese that he translated.I am sorry if it sounded silly,but i thought that there was a case of konami doing the old trick of having cartridge combinations to see the alternate ending.
