Patriek Lesparre released GEM v0.6, his Gameboy Emulator for MSX. It's been 9 months since the last release and GEM has turned 1 year old this month. Unfortunately, this will be the last GEM for MSX2/turboR.An extra note from Patriek:

'I decided to stop working on the MSX2/turboR version of GEM. Those who read the MSX Mailinglist 12 months ago will remember my words: 'Even if it could run only 1 game at 10% speed, it would be impressive, right?!' GEM far surpassed that initial goal. Thanks go out to 'emulation guru/pioneer' Marat Fayzullin for saying this: 'It is definitely impossible to make a fully functional GB emulator for MSX (even on 7MHz Z80). IMHO, it is quite impossible to make such an emulator at all, even with limited capabilities.' IN YOUR FACE! Smile'

Okay so now you DO know (at least, the ones who are subscribed to the mailinglist).
Ah now there’s no fun anymore... bummer.
Well, there’s only one thing left to say, which is that DragonBall Z rocks!
(oh, and so does Maryse)

For the ones who don’t read the MSX Mailinglist, we (or actually Patriek) will try to release a new version of GEM at the fair in Tilburg... for the Z380!!!
