Imanok's latest MSX game, J.E.T.P.A.C., is going to be released on cartridge at the 35th Barcelona RU, the 30th of May. It is a horizontally scrolling shooter game which takes place in the near future. Ever since the Earth's limited resources have been wasted by the human race, five automatic driller robots were sent to Jupiter to extract minerals which would provide mankind with new energy resources. But, problems arose and a mission called J.E.T.P.A.C. is set up to solve them.

The astronauts will fly into the caves with the help of their jetpacs, getting rid of the dangerous creatures with their mid-range laser gun, dodging trough a way full of twists and turns to complete their mission. The system requirements of J.E.T.P.A.C. are very modest: any MSX1 with at least 8Kb RAM is enough. For sound, the PSG and an optional FM-PAC are supported.

I assume it's actually one of Jupiter's moons where these caves are. Jupiter itself is a great ball o' gas.. Tongue

First I thought that maybe it could be some 2009 MSX conversion of old classic JETPAC by Ultimate Play The Game. Smile

Allright, it was not.

J.E.T.P.A.C.

Jupiter Elite Troop Power Afield Company

My english doesn´t recognise word "Afield". What does it mean? Question

Or is game´s title engrished because of game´s japanese style?

Well... the name is some kind of a tribute to that game, because of the player control :)

You probably mean that inertia affects player´s movements? Smile Does J.E.T.P.A.C. also have gravity which forces player downwards?
