The MSX Commander utility is receiving update after update. Since we last reported about this Norton Commander clone for MSX, the following changes were made:

  • Make dir
  • Recursive Move
  • Rename
  • Attributes display on footer
  • Sort view
  • File Attributes
  • Buttons hot keys, just press the uppercase letter to jump to it in dialogs
  • Filter view
  • Help
  • View file

With these changes, the currently available version is also the first Release Candidate.

Still have to understand how to configure the user menu. Where should I enter the command to link to a certain letter/number shortcut the command I want to run when pressing such key?

Finally someone had the balls to complete this nice project! There's no proper file manager for DOS2 and this one seems the most usable of all. Good job!

Cool! I missed this news! Thanks! And very nice that this project is read for use now! I really like it! Seem to work the same like the M filemanager.. but i like the mouse support here!

Please give the source codes for v1.1.05.

I'm sorry I didn't recompile the sources. But he studied to create this patch which I then applied directly on the executable via hex-editor. I have done much faster this way. ;)

It would be cool if the program could be a bit faster in browsing.. As it works fine but sometimes it is a bit slow for me.

The speed can vary according to the device used (SD card type, etc.) and to its organization and nesting of the data. It doesn't just depend on the file manager.
