The first entry for MSXdev'10 is in; NeoPONG512, by Z80ST (ARTRAG and SapphiRe). Pong itself needs no introduction of course, a computer game from ancient times that took loads of coins from poor addicts when it was released. This new version features all sorts of enhancements, ranging from alternate graphics to MSX 2 palette, yet it retains the retro look it deserves. Have a go at it and be convinced!

Was you playing the game on a 1chipMSX? The game was tested succesfully on MSX1, MSX2, MSX2+ and TR, but yesterday at Barcelona's RU we discovered that on 1chipMSX, the sprite collision presented some weird problems... same program on MSX2 and TR worked fine...

Aaaaaah!! pheeeew....

well, now the bats - ball collision is detected using hardware sprite collisions... this seems to have problems on 1chipMSX.

after I grade all the exams and finish moving to the new home, I'll try to change the detection routine to fix the problem on the 1chipMSX.

Personally, I wouldn't work around bugs of emulators (or hardware clones), more motivation for them to fix it. Smile

GhostWriterP... weird. I played it a lot on BlueMSX and never noticed a fail on the sprite collision detection... Question Question

I will write a script that autoplays this game... I don't think there is a bug in the game (nor in openMSX / I didn't test blueMSX)
