Might be an absolute n00b question, but what is the advantage of ODO versus already existing romloaders for MSX like for instance loadrom?

Don't get me wrong: I applaud every initiative. And I do hope you keep at it 'cause especially megaroms don't always work well in current romloaders.

Hi Randam.

LoadRom is a great program. Yes.

The problem of LOADROM are 48k Roms, and Roms with init adress in Z80 page 0 (0000-03FFFh) area.

This Roms, don't work with LoadRom.

LoadRom don't support MSXDOS2. This is don't support load ROM file in CDRom...

And ODO support this features, and load some BASIC Rom files.

But LoadRom load megaroms ... ODO no.

In the multiROM cartridge there are two more 48k games: Majikazo and Operation Wolf extended version.

Doesn't Execrom do all that? I know execrom does not work with mappers, but it can still load normal ROMs with just plain 64k RAM...

Hi Slotman.

Yes, execrom is a great program ... but don't work with 48k Rom files "non mapped" (withow mapper). And don't work with 32/16/8 k ROMs with starting address in 0000-3FFFh range.

And don't work with DOS2 features (dirs, cdrom, etc...).

Please check -> execrom thecure.rom or execrom UU.rom ... fails ..

ODO is a complementary utility for EXECROM.

As I've heard it was sent just after being released, but never was posted (even if other news appeared days later). Maybe a problem receiving mails @mrc? Not an enough interesting new? Question

But I am happy, it works better and it is cool! Cool
