It's tempting to say: "First there was nothing, then there was Metal Gear". So big was the impact Konami's Metal Gear has made. More than twenty years after its release, trading of the original cartridge is like trading art: with years the value grows. Another consequence of the game's popularity are the fan made videos and remixes that can be seen at YouTube or similar media. Our downloads section has quite some Metal Gear and Solid Snake remixes, and their popularity is hardly a surprise anymore, as can be seen in the monthly download statistics.
Next to videos and remixes, various people take efforts to make walkthroughs and maps. The latest Passion MSX article deals with Metal Gear. The article opens with an introduction and features detailed information regarding weapons, items, radio frequencies, the cards and more. The second part of the article deals with the actual walkthrough and has various screenshots. A real map is missing in this article, but has probably been omitted because a map is already available here.
