MSX IPS Patch Archive updated

Source: BiFi

IPS (International Patching System) is a standardized way of patching existing files and it is available for many computersystems already. The MSX version is being developed by Albert Beevendorp (BiFi). IPS-files can be applied to existing files using IPS4MSX, which can be downloaded from the MRC Downloads database right here.

The archive has been updated. This is what's new:

Solid Snake demo version English IPS

Bifi,

I am under WinXP, tried to use VDMSound to make the executable work. It think the exe worked bu the rom was not patched. I used USAS version of good.

The tool created by BIFi is not a EXE file, but a COM file, it's for MSX, not for PC.

You can eventually use it in an emulator by creating a disk image (you must add MSX-DOS 1).

There are different tools for PC. Personnally, I use IPSEXE without any problem on XP.

I bet this English version of Solid Snake demo is taken from my site, isn't it ?
Even having the whole game in English it wasn't straitforward to do the same changes in demo ROM.
