played with it a bit more now... and yes, I accidentally had scaling turned off. Speaking of which, sometimes when starting a new game the emulator temporarily forgets (some of?) its settings, going into the settings menu and back restores the view correctly.
I didn't figure out at first that I needed to set up the joystick for each game I play via the internal fmsx menu, so that's why I thought it wasn't working. Just a minor thing, but it'd be nice if it defaulted on joystick port 1.
While the keyboard is small, I can actually type on it, but for a modern phone, my screen's large in size (4.3" ) compared to the resolution it sports (480x800). Many users will have an equally high res. on a smaller screen.
That said, the d-pad area on the other hand is really huge, stretching across almost the entire height of the device (in portrait mode, this makes things hard to control, because up and down are very far away from each other). In landscape mode it works fairly well, but the "keys" are still very far apart from each other. I've played several games on Android that simulate a d-pad as well, and they usually use a smaller area.
I noticed it doesn't yet support multi-touch. Would be great if it did
@ fms: Thank you for making this possible!!! When I'll get my new phone (I hope tomorrow) this will be (one of) the first app(s) I will put on it!
Why is the release for my Nokia 1600 taking so long? ;(
Get with the times, John!
It's the era of "Modern Retro"
@LeoM: what kind of phone would that be (just being curious)?

Hmm, ok, I may know why it happens.

Update application from the marketplace: it has been fixed.

I am going to make the keyboard a little bit large, but not by much. Sorry.

I am going to force it into landscape mode in the next release. There is really no reason to use it in portrait.

Yeah, something I will have to work a bit more on =)
@Samor: Samsung Galaxy S II
nice
I'm a bit of a HTC fan, but the S II is the coolest Android phone available right now!
Don't like the HTC Sensation? I'm considering that one to replace my N900 later this year...
It's probably about as good, it's out yet?
Yup, my brother just got one.
