This is interesting:
So, what's the rating of MSX-Basic?
And... it would be interesting to compare the programming activity with MSX-Basic, and Basics (or other languages) of other retrocomputers (C=, Spectrum, Amstrad, etc.).
I know the founder/owner of that company But it's not really possible to add MSX-BASIC, I think.
Why not? We can suggest to add other "obsolete" computer languages, for ex. Pascal, Modula, GW-Basic
Maybe MRC itself could start a poll and invite to vote fans of other computers.
You cannot trust that ranking! They do not even include BrainF**k! That's a must! BF is a truly abacus compatible language!
I guess they don't deal with discontinued platforms and their languages. Better you find a Retro-programming index or something similar.
Yes , in fact it was a suggestion on creating such a retro-programming index.
I think today MSX-Basic is one of the most used retro-languages.
@ Enribar….. Hi folks, in terms of retro languages MSX-Basic and XBasic is the most what I used on my MSX machine.
Whi? For me is it not necessary to have a very fast program, because I get every five minutes my signals from outside into my MSX. Sometimes I use a hybrid program (ML and Basic).
When for somebody is MSX-Basic to slow then you’ll need a faster program(for Games etc).
So my vote is Ladies and Gentlemen : MSX-Basic 8 points, Xbasic 6 points, ML 3 points !!!
From the10 points.
Well, send them a mail pointing to this thread Who knows!
