I would like to know if someone has a tutorial where it explains how to upgrade the NMS 8245 to 256 or 512K on a way similar to the Ditta Bass expansíon on the VG8235. If you do so please email it to me to

dcorreaib at telefonica.net

PS: also looking for a VG8235/20 memory expansion
Thanks a lot

How does a 3 module SIMM make 1Mb of memory.

Like a listing on ebay for '1MB Hitachi HM511000AJP7 30-Pin (3-Chip)'.

But if I have a look at the datasheet of the HM51000AJP7 I see that it is a 1048576-word x 1-Bit CMOS DRAM
So how do we get to 1MB 8-bit with 3 modules.

PC SIMM memory have 9bits
the SIMM have 3 differents chips : 2 x 1Mb x 4bits and a 1 x 1Mb x 1bit for parity
