Would you please test this file in your real MSX? In order to release the newest version of WAVeR v.3 I need to know if it is absolutely compatible with all the MSX systems. Requirements: MSX with 64 KB of RAM and cassette entry.

Loading instructions: BLOAD"CAS:",R

I need to know if it works in MSX2/2+ machines and MSX1 with separated memory banks.

{mod}Removed the link. Please do not link to warez (not even as wav format). If you like to test this, please use a freeware game (some of your own?){/mod}

Thank you!

Eduardo, don't post here, you'll get moderated to death. Go to comp.sys.msx and msx mailing lists. Those are outside of Bazix control. I recently uploaded Padial FLASH-G support files to a popular MSX ftp archive, and didn't even bother to announce it here, since it's a futile exercise. Fun is not allowed. Go away Smile

I can assure you the MRC point of view on posting about warez has little to do with Bazix or the MSX Revival. If you had been paying more attention to the history of the MRC you would know that MRC has been completely warez-free ever since it was founded 10 years ago. When the website became a dynamic website in ~1999, long before anyone had ever heard about an MSX Revival to come, the decision was made to add the no-warez policy to the website. The reason? As stated many times before: the MRC is here to stay, we don't want to put them at stake for warez.

So, you are right about there being other places where a post like this would not have been moderated, but please get all your other facts straight.

Go away SmileI thought you had chosen to set-up-camp elsewhere? Remember? You were an MRC visitor. You decided MRC really wasn't the ideal community site for you... You decided 'some other site' was, since they didn't moderate there. You were a lot happier there! I'm sure you remember! Go away Smile

Sonic_blah_blah: I never comitted to "Go away", I just told I won't post new useful content, just my opinions on various matters. As of your wish, if you don't like me so much, why you don't go away? I don't think so Smile If you don't like me, just employ my approach to Mr. GuyveR800. I just skip his posts without reading, because I really don't like him. Do the same, and you'll be ever happy Wink

Snout: I can tell you one thing: people make difference, labels don't Smile

Pitpan: there are like hundreds of freeware titles out there, some of them even developed by yourself, which you could have used for testing the new version of WAVer on MSX without infringing any copyrights. It was your own choice to use a copyrighted game as a testcase. If you'd like the MRC visitors to test WAVer, I suggest (like Bart) you pick one of those freeware titles as a testcase.

Dhau: If you think people make a difference and labels don't I suggest you start blaming me and my fellow admins, webmasters and moderators personally instead of 'Bazix', which is just a label, isn't it? Fun is allowed at the MRC, warez aren't. If you're too ignorant to see that the no-warez-policy of the MRC has nothing to do with the MSX Revival, but has everything to do with the way we want to make sure a unique platform like the MRC is here to stay, then that's your problem, not mine.

It was quiet for a while on the "kick-against-MRC" front, I was wondering when you kids would return. I hope you had your fun again.

To get back on-topic. I removed the link Robsy because it contained Q-Bert (I can confirm that the WAV works perfectly in openMSX btw). If you really sincerely like to test WAVeR v.3, why don't you use a freeware title like I suggested? Test-results will be just as good as any WAV.

Although Robsy may made a mistake I think you are overreacting with him (as ever). Try just to calm down and understand:

Well, Karoshi productions are all 8KB (remember that our GL has been forbidden) so I can understand Robsy's used software from other developer to make a decent test with a 32KB ROM (that is WaveR full-power). That's all. So you decided to put the link down?. It's OK, it's your site and they are your rules... I'm sure Robsy will find a lot of help out there testing a 32KB ROM with WaveR better than here.

But those "go away"-like messages makes me sad. Truly... WaveR v.3 will be a great app, and everyone will enjoy it, try at least not to be that hostile with an active user like Eduardo.

Thanx

Where in this post are snout and Bart overreacting?

I'm not pointing to anyone. Nor snout or Bart. The thing is that Robsy put a link to a WAV not containing a game done by himself for an easily understandable reason. Then that link was removed because of MRC policies. So I think the thing is over, stop yourselves to continue your wars like...

...and such... this kind of direct comments when talking about the testing of an upcoming MSX freeware application are useless (of course, unless you really like this kind of discussion)
