Yes you can, it's just like as start.com e.g. to change to disk 2 you have to keep [2] pressed and press [space] simultaniously.

Runit uses exactly 204 bytes, in the top of page 3

The mapper patch is internal and is always used before running a game

If you use run /m diskimage.disk and have a philips music module you can get sound from the music module in puyo puyo, gorby's pipeline and golvellius 2

There are probably other games from compile where it will work.

I'd like to load mg2.dsk

Memory is not the problem, I tried mg2.dsk format in TR with internal memory expansion 512kb and other with 1024kb and is the same problem.

Using map.com or memtr.com and next runit or start(sunrise IDE or MMC). It hangs.
The problem is the the disk drive emulation software.

However I tried other way: with MMC(not sunriseIDE) you can create a 720kb partition and with copy720 program create image from .dsk to the 720kb partition. When I boot the program from the 720kb partition, it runs ok! Tested in the 1024k and 512k TR with internal memory expansion. It Works!

FRAY works using the same way.

And SD snatcher can run using map and next start from sunriseIDE or MMC

I think disk drive emulation software doesn't work fine.

The diskdrive emulation works fine (for what it supports right now)

Fray and the MG2 both use filebased functions. This diskemu is only for sector based games like puyo/undeadline/aleste3

You could try to start mg2.dsk on your 1024mb turbo-r with fde.com

This disk emu software is still under development. I started a few days ago only because W76 couldn't start SD Snatcher from his CF ide interface Tongue

Now i'm inspired by this disk emu stuff and want more to be supported. Updates will be posted on our site www.neardark.nl/downloads/tools.php.

Major updates will be mentioned here ofcourse.

A list of supported games would be cool... and thinking about it... some kind of comparation about all floppy disk emulators would even be cooler (Runit, Start, FDE, EP, HDDEMU,...), with scores, etc... just the way you're doing with MSX emus.

Yes, I understand it

ST 1024kb, using fde with mg2.dsk, it load the game but it hangs in the konami screen.

>This disk emu software is still under development. I started a few days ago >only because W76 couldn't start SD Snatcher from his CF ide interface
Go ahead, and congratulations for your job!

SD Snatcher works with sunriseIDE using map.com and next start.com

Imanok - Such a comparison would be a hell of a job, since the way you make DSK images and whether or not you chose to manually remove some sector-based copyprotection changes it all. With a lot of fooling around I even managed to run the English translations of several Microcabin games in HDDEMU...

If you have any ideas on how to perform such a comparison (and what to do and what not to do to get .DSKs running) I might give it a go one day Wink
