Do you mean I can safely flip the 7 MHz switch while the machine is running? I thought I might break something (I know even less about electronics than I know about assembler, heh) when I did that when the MSX was turned on. :|

That switch sounds a lot more handy now. (Although I don't really dare to flip it until I get confirmation, heh) Tongue

This is what the label on my CHAMP cartridge says, by the way:

PSS
CHAMP
MSX Assembler/Monitor
nr .6.000.96002 : copyright PSS/SAC

The first "PSS" is a logo, "CHAMP" is boxed and all text is centered. I can make a picture if you want. Smile

I remember there was one really weird assembler delivered with some assembler book, that compiled sources from BASIC listings. I think, there was CALL COMPILE or similar command. You had to type ASM commands after REM statements, but good thing was, that you could also write BASIC loader at a same time. Smile

Does anyone know what I talk about?

- I also have a CHAMP cart, you need to do some CALL command to get it going. I don't know what command now, though
- Yes, you can safely switch the 7MHz switch any time.

Heh, that switch will actually come in handy now. I thought I had to restart my MSX as either 3.5 or 7 MHz. Eek!

The main author nowadays is Jon de Schrijder, that site is turbor's, who did contribute in the past, but hasn't worked on it anymore for a long time, AFAIK.
