Attention. Smile
Neo Lite has time limit. We'll get the order until this weekend.
There is no time extension because we have another job. This project is just for fun.

We cannot make lot money for this project just you can see. (We are not planning
to make huge money. I'm pretty sure if somebody wants to make this personally then
the cost would be more than $500. This project is just for fun and good dinner. That's all)

About specification of Zemmix Neo.

It is just compatible with OCM.
OCM itself:
MSX 2+ compatible with KdL's firmware. (Thanks KdL)
2048kB (4096kB) main memory emulation
Floppy disk emulation with MSX-DOS 2 - You could use SD memory up to 2GB.
Multidisk supported with ep.com.

Zemmix Neo only:
USB keyboard supported. (Not all. HID only USB keyboard is not supported.)
Embeded Scanline generator with scanline depth changer (0~100%)

Thanks for posting the specs on the Zemmix Neo, mygodess. That information helps a lot for users like myself who have never seen a 1 Chip MSX before. So from what I understand, a 1 Chip MSX unit would normally be a MSX2 out of the box, but then would be upgradable to support compatibility with MSX2+ after flashing it with KdL's firmware.

Since the Zemmix Neo can play regular ROM cartridges and also run/emulate a disk drive using the SD-Card, what would be the process say for example to run MG2: Solid Snake and then save a game to disk?

This is assuming that I have the MG2 cart or flashed ROM to the MegaFlashRom SCC+ cart in the system and a proper Fat 16 formatted SD card 2GB with a UserDSK.dsk file created that is just a blank MSX-DOS2 Formatted .dsk.

Solid Snake is just an example by the way, I'm thinking any ROM + need to save to DSK combination can work as an example for how this process would work.

Edit: One more question. Does this unit come with a standard Power Supply / cord and if so, what kind of of Power Supply does the Zemmix Neo take. We use 120V outlets here in the U.S. so I just wanted to see what kind of an adapter that would best work with it.

Thanks!

Is there any ways to put this thread on spotlight?
If this thread goes to spotlight then some more friends will be interested also I think.
(Maybe maybe not.. )

I missed this post. You could try submit a newspost here: http://www.msx.org/news/submit containing some basic info and where /when to order.

A moderator will then edit and put your message on the front page/spotlight if they think it is newsworthy ;) .

I see, so then I guess I need to step back even further and just learn about the process for taking a One Chip MSX and turning it into a MSX2 and then into MSX2+... Hmm.

I am definitively going to get one. And already e-mailed mygodess about it.

Is there someone in Finland, preferably near Pori, interested to place order with me to reduce shipping costs a little?
This could also be nice possibility to meet another MSX fans in Finland Smile
