Just checked the haunted demo with the SD Snatcher ROM and it works ok...

Hello Meits, What do you mean by it works?
When I download the haunted demo from msx.org, open catapult, put sccplus.rom in both slot a and b, I still get the message "I found no soundchip". okay, when I press 1 it continues and I do have scc music, but like I said, there are demo's that don't continue unless they find a scc in slot b.

I mean, the ROM file, not the extension in openMSX...

TheKid: work on Catapult has stopped in 2007, although last year some minor improvements were made. They are included in openMSX 0.10.0, which we released yesterday.

There are no plans to make other improvements on Catapult for now.

Here's your solution...
Put it in any slot you like...

Funny, so the sccplus.rom from bluemsx isn't recognized by the haunted demo, but the sd snatcher rom is..
It would be nice if there was a non bootable scc.rom (just like de scc+ roms) or a script that inserts a scc cart after the boot.

blueMSX does not come with a sccplus rom, I think you're confusing with RuMSX.

yep, you're right. But the thing I like about that scc+ rom is that it doesn't boot, and it would be handy to have the same kind of rom for scc. Because what manuel suggested with the nemesis2 rom works, but I like to automate things and not having to press F10 and type things.

So actualy what you would like as a feature, is a 'virtual' switch that you can switch on/off on a cartridge Big smile

That or the possibility that a scc(+) extension can be assigned to both slots at the time, so a program always detects a scc cart in a slot, wheter is slot a or b. But I think the "virtual switch" method would be easier to accomplish Smile
