Hi,

I've read Catapult doesn't work on OSX. I downloaded the latest 0.10.0 OpenMSX binary for Mac, and indeed, I guess Catapult is not there (there's the OpenMSX app, which runs great on my Macs, but I don't see any Catapult app).

However, I see Catapult is wxWidgets based... and the wxCocoa port has been greatly improved in the last years (I've been using wxCocoa for my own apps, since a couple of years, and it's great)… so I'm wondering… why shouldn't Catapult run on OSX? If it runs on Linux, and it's wxWidgets-based… what's the problem?

It didn't work properly in the past, but no one has really tried recently. If someone wants to attempt it, we're happy to help. It should work with wx 3.0.

Ok, Manuel, if I find some time this weekend, I'll try and I'll report back. Btw, I hope the communication between Catapult and OpenMSX is done in an easy way... if there're any interprocess communication techniques, that's likely to be OS-dependent and it's not my strongest area.

asiga - that part is probably the same as the Linux/UNIX stuff (using UNIX domain sockets).

If you want direct assistance, feel free to join us on IRC, on #openMSX on the Freenode.net network.

Sorry, I wasn't able to try it yet. Too busy these days I'm afraid...
