Hi... we, the openMSX team is about to release openMSX 0.11.0, but before that we'd like to be a bit more sure that it's indeed release worthy.

You can help!

Please help by testing the latest development build for your OS, which can be found here: http://openmsx.fixato.net (check the box on the right side).
Give us all the feedback you can and you help us a lot!

Thanks in advance!

Any updates will be posted here, of course :)

Anything in special that you want to be tested?

The v0.10.0-158 by FiXato works on Snow Leopard.
I have less sound problems than the last official version that support Snow Leopard.

gdx: unfortunately that is not the version that will be released. (It's very old...)
So it's not useful to test.

iamweasel2: any kind of testing on things that worked before, but don't work now is good. So, just using it!

Manuel.
I installed "openmsx-0.10.2-343-gc09ac54-windows-vc-x86-bin-msi" and the extensions advram, ADVRAM-P and ADVRAM-S stopped working. The "Checking openMSX configurations" reports "Not working hardware" in these three extensions.

Um, advram-p and advram-s? I only have an advram extension here...
EDIT: ah, advram-p and advram-s existed before Oct. 2006, after which it has been replaced by the single 'advram' extension. So for some reason you have some very old extensions on your system.

Anyway, the explanation is this: Catapult tests the extensions with the first machine that worked. This is now Acid1Test-slots and the advram extension is not compatible with that machine... perhaps we should change it so that it tests with something else like C-BIOS machines...

That's right, Manuel!
I removed the 3 xml files from Acid tests temporarily and the test "Test MSX Hardware" was successful without the "advram" extension error.

Thanks for making this clear Paulo. I've just added a workaround for this problem so that users won't be bothered with this confusing stuff.

I've tested Chase H.Q. .cas game from http://msxcas.webcindario.com and the graphics are corrupted. I've tried with "fullspeedwhenloading" both false and true. And the Philips VG-8020 and Sony HB-10P machines (in MSX2 doesn't works).
The version tested is openMSX 0.10.2-343-gc09ac54 (24/10/2014). But in some recent previous versions there was the same problem.

Thanks for reporting this! I can confirm the issue (work around is to disable VDP access timing), we'll investigate what's going on.

EDIT: do you know if there are other games that also show graphics corruption? (Perhaps games by the same author? (Although it's not very clear to me who wrote the MSX Chase HQ.))

OK, looks like we do not understand the MSX1 VDP access timing well enough yet, so we had to relax some timing restrictions to get this case working. Please try version 344-gc398941 or later..
