In short, DSK-PRO is same as FastCopy but with enhanced functions. Smile
Meits has compared a common function. FastCopy has won.

You do not want to know anything because you think that this software is not in the same category. oO
For the next feedbacks, what will you say us? You silenced volunteers.

Marcos, I think the problem you have with this community comes from your ego and your arrogance. Seriously, look at all the stunning and childish DRAMA that comes with your tool ! ... "Don't mess with me again edition" ?, all those fake citations by famous people like Bill Gates or Madonna, the image of an exploding planet ? ... I could continue. And it started right by your announcement of the release of the tool, where you bluntly implied that your tool was the best thing that ever happened to the MSX.

You would not get so many negative reactions if you had not go that way. You smacked your tool in everyone's face, and told them that they had to love your tool, right there and right now. This is no way to contribute to the community, and this is why you get all those heated reactions.

Personnally, I don't have a technical opinion on your tool, as I don't use physical disks anymore. I can only suppose that it does a good job and gives new opportunities for safekeeping our common MSX heritage. But I was appalled right from the start at your way to present things.

Just my 2 cents.

We could look it the other way as well. Maybe it was all meant as a funny way of presenting the tool because hey we are a small community right? We are able to see the fun in this. I find it funny. The citations are fake, thats part of the humor. I accept that the tool is propably not "the best" but if you like extreme why not.

It's a joke Smile.

Anyway, feature count aside, now that it was found that another tool can copy faster, with its sources available to be studied, maybe the next version of DSK-PRO will truly be the fastest MSX disk copier on the planet, no, the universe! Smile

Come on kids, you cant be serious...

Do I really have to explain that the opinions are fake and part of a humor text?

Of course the tool is not the best of the best of the universe. Come on.

And I can exagerate with my oppinions just because I am not trying to sell anything.
The tool is for free and I just want to help the community with an excellent tool.

PS: And my ego is really low. But we can not deny that DSK-PRO is the BEST ever. Big smile

Marcos

Hello Everybody
I've been following this tread from the beguining and I'm just interested on explaining my experience.
1) My MSX is a Philips NMS 8250 with two drives. 128 Kb RAM 128 Kb VRAM upgraded to MSX2+
Using the internal mapper I was not able to get any DSK or PDI file from any disk protected or not.
I've used an external Mapper with 4096 Kb an I got with no problem at all , a DSK copy of a normad Disk
and a PDI copy of a protected disk ( CRC errors).
By the other side I had a disk I could not copy with several sector copiers like EPT Vram and even with
Fastcopy 3.0 but finally got a copy of it and a PDI file with DSK-PRO , protected mode and Hard Mode OFF.
The copy works properly 100%
