It seems WhateverMan likes MSX as much as me.

Another Z80 joined our family today. A good friend gifted me a Schneider CPC 646.

Did finish my SX-1 shell today. Added a case for a Philips monitor, which matches perfect to the FPGA.

I'm proud of the back, which looks much nicer than the most front sides of other computers I know...

For a long time I wanted a new MSX computer. The models with remote keyboards were too far away from the basic idea of the home computer for me and the original machines with their more than thirty years rather became museum exhibits.
This MSX computer contains the mini-ITX board from 8bits4ever, a newly designed OCM clone from the Spanish hardware forge.
Therefore it contains all of its contemporary features in a very small space. The FPGA provides MSX2+ compatibility, FM and SCC+ sound and enough memory. The SD card serves as mass storage, a VGA output the high image quality. Two cartridge ports are classically arranged at the top of the case, but I could hide other connections inside. Only monitor and power connections lead to the outside. The reworked design includes power and reset keys, status indicators inform the user via LED.

The keyboard is originally a Leopold FC660M with brown Cherry keys. This probably leads to the highest quality typing experience you have ever felt on an MSX combatible. An Adder USB to PS/2 converter makes sure that board and keyboard understand each other. Without ghosting it passes the Gradius test. 3D printed key caps offer any interchangeability of the keys with standard LEGO tiles.

In addition, the LEGO construction guarantees an indestructible shell. Should the computer fall down, it is easy to put it back together again.
The design can be individually designed, own color schemes are easy to realize. Even your own keyboard layouts are possible.

The last picture was automatically blocked by facebook, because it could show adult nudity and sexual activity.
That's what Mikka meant when he said MSX is music, sex and ecstasy?
