Riekie, saw your mail. Will reply soon. I need to see how many boards are left. I think 3 or 4 maximum. But if there's a large demand I can make another batch.

Alexey,
I have noticed the boards are around 2 mm too long on the slot connector; they don't fit well in a Sony F1 XV and I had to cut them a bit.

please take that into account if you make another batch.

Thanks. I also noticed this recently. I didn't change any sizes of the board, the previous board fit perfectly. Could be the factory that screwed up the sizes.

Alexey, what is the material of the slot fingers (contacts)?

Normal solder/lead deposits over the slot connector contacts and oxidize over time causing poor contact. I do not know if this is "cleanable". Considering the prices of MSX machines nowadays I would stay away from that.

The recommended finish for the slot contacts is hard gold. It resists hundreds of insertions and do not compromise the slot connectors. But it is more expensive. As far as I can tell it is hard to get a PCB like that with hard gold finish for less than US$10 in small quantities. I'm looking to make some Konami size prototype cards in that way, but 50 PCBs would cost about US$8 or so. And 5 PCBs would cost as much as US$32 each.

ENIG (immersion gold) is not more expensive than the lead finish, but I heard it scratches too easily and a few slot insertion already remove it. I never tried. But is seems it is not an option.
