Please help me!

I want to play a public domain MSX game:
花札こいこい (Hanafuda Koi-Koi)
http://msx-fan-wiki.appspot.com/view/1099

So I found MSX-Fan Issue 26 (1994) Disks 1&2 and installed the game onto a blank .dsk image.
This plays OK in openMSX.
dsk: https://workupload.com/file/c8j3ucL

I used dsk2rom to convert it to a .rom file.
This plays OK in openMSX.
rom: https://workupload.com/file/tLKnEbJ

I want to play in Retroarch fMSX which only supports .rom files
When I run the .rom in fMSX it says

"Disk full in 40"

Can anybody help?

Thanks!
matt

thanks, i just figured that out myself!

I'm new to MSX so I have no idea how to run MSXDOS2 or make fMSX think it is a Turbo-R?

OK, it seems that without MSXDOS2 or TurboR the error is:

"Syntax error in 40"

But with my fMSX the error is

"Disk full in 40"

which means it has RAMDISK but it is too small. I will look into emulator memory settings.

Increase memory, e.g. to 2MB. E.g. by inserting a memory mapper.

Thanks, I checked using the Windows version of fMSX and I need to increase main memory to at least 256KB

Fmsx don' t have MSXdos2
emulate MSX1 MSX2 MSX2+ only
try RuMSX

fMSX does support MSXDOS2 if you put the ROM there.

I got this working Smile

Try with BlueMSX (available with RetroArch)
BlueMSX on RetroArch can load .dsk files

Yes, works in BlueMSX

I also made some changes to fMSX source code and now it works there also!
