Several years ago, I bought a Canon V-20 with Antarctic Adventure on eBay. One day, I realised that something is wrong with this cartridge, it has the label of the Japanese version but the software in this cartridge seems to be the European version (the Konami logo screen has a blue background, the south pole is written in English and the word "keyboard" has no typo on the title screen, etc.), I found no information about such version, which lead me to think it could be a bootleg but I'm not sure, what do you think ?

Don't Konami carts auto-detect Japanese vs. European hardware?

I don't think it is a bootleg. I also own that version of the cartridge. Probably it is a intermediate release, or a new batch of the japanese release (using the international ROM to fix some bugs)

This seems to be the version included on Konami's MSX Collection Volume 1, burned in a cartridge.

The ROM is the same used in the international/european version.
The cartridges where produced in early-mid '85. This would explain the new cartridge case.
So probably it is just a second release of the game.
