this does not surprise me at all. Even on today pc a crappy developer can make a game worse than the msx version of 30 years ago.

MSX version is required and i suppose fast to implement, but the MSX2 version should be pretty similar to 16 bits ports i think.

That's the reason Easter Egg exists, trying to push older hardware to get the best result possible.In the 2000's , i was coding for PC, i went to retro programming in 2009 because it is more interesting to try to do thing that never has been made in older machine than coding on PC.

Just yesterday i've wrote to ArcadeVision about MSX port possibility.

ArcadeVision replied:
"We should considerate that possibility later, if the ColecoVision version is a real success."

Wow, really cool!!! I'm particularly impressed with the SFX of enemies dying, which is surprisingly similar to the original Amiga "BUAAAAHH" sample!! Really nice work! (and in 32K!! Smile )

Msx is a standard, and should have all classic games.
So, I think Msx need this porting.
I'm curious about software sprite, that seems to me,are largerly used.

They are using my voice encoder
I have released on atariage a version for the colecovision audio chip
