SONY doesn't do re-work like that.
But thanks for replying, now I'm sure that the main board with the speaker is a PAL board, and it's clearly visible from the photo:
1)Check the position of the V9938. In the PAL version is next to the power connectors, in the JPN is in the top middle, totally covered by the brown video board.
2)Check the PCB code and compare it to the other photos in the wiki: 1-617-516 = PAL
Moreover, in the top left of the picture with the speaker, you can see 2 red wires that go to a headphone jack connector!
version with monitor output and internal speaker instead of TV and composite outputs for professionals
I think that any "professionals" can afford a monitor with a speaker...
But anyway this modded version is actually worse, as it's missing the RGB-21 connector, the TV output and the composite, while leaving only the DIN output.
I did some researches. You're right, the picture with the speaker comes from the HB-F500F (AC 220V, 50Hz). By cons I do not find who made this change.
Regarding the Japanese HB-F500..
The wiki says "It was sold with a mouse and the softwares MSX-DOS, "Business Kit" (Database) and "Wordship" (Japanese wordprocessor) on floppy disk.".
But when I look at a overview of the unit in the Japanese MSX Magazine, issue 1986-02 on page 183-187. I don't see any mention of the mouse or software mentioned. What it does mention is something called Kanji MEMO (漢字MEMO) as being included.

Can someone that can read Japanese verify?
The article says there are 6 software: a Kanji Memo, a clock, a timer, a calendar, a calculator and the game "Princess". However, it is possible that the software changed later.
Based on the screenshots (page 186), it seems to me the Kanji MEMO disk is basically a collection of small programs. Most of the screens have the same navigation bar at the bottom. I don't think the system came with more then one disk.
We know there were 2 hardware revisions of the Japanese HB-F500, perhaps the included software changed for the second revision?
In this Japanese flyer from 1985-11 for the HB-F500
https://bouya.officew.jp/hb-f500/
It mentions the Business kit, but clearly as a separate purchase. It also mentions the Kanji Memo software.
Just to say that I finished the page about cartridge ROMs. Except forgets, I put everything I wanted to put. I checked the programs. I changed the search for RAM because I put a bad version and I did not find the right one so I had to redo it. All seem ok now but feel free to change or add things to improve what has been done!.
Very nice wiki!
But the code for 48kb rom must be wrong. It is testing (EXPTBL), but should test (EXPTBL+prim slot rom). Also for adjusting the SSR you should select temporary the correct primary slot in page 3. Default page 3 has ram, so this means that the SSR of that primary slot is selected (if the slot of the RAM is expanded).

I tested it with many confurations on OpenMSX and it seems ok. The primary slot in page 3 is selected for each slot selection. EXPTBL+prim slot rom is also tested except for the Main-Rom selection because prim slot is 0.
Ok, I saw the bad part. I will correct it later.
