Almost empty pages without detailed explanations will not give the access to my 'stupid' table. But you like to play your game, I don't care ... there's no emergency to update the table!!!

It is not a problem of time. You will understand very soon.

Instead of quarrels, I propose to bring normal classifications to everyone, and compare the vision.
I understand each of you in my own way, and each of you is right in something.
For example, some utilities described in HELP DOS2 are not supplied in many disk images. Also, many commands (as you recently noticed LEN, MID, LEFT, RIGHT etc.) are not described in the documentation.
Also for him there is a disk with an extended set of utilities, which just do not described anywhere.

There is also an incompatibility between DOS1 and DOS2.
The best way out here, I think, is a summary table, which will indicate - is included in the standard delivery (must be present on the disk), compatible with DOS1, 2, Nestor etc.

Requires some features? (for example, most programs do not start in DOS1 on the Daewoo CPC300 due to the extended slot, but they work fine on the YIS803)
In general - something like that. Smile

I was going to update the wiki page about Pascal: https://www.msx.org/wiki/MCCE_Turbo_Pascal to update the link to this one: http://pascal.hansotten.com/delphi/turbo-pascal-on-cpm-msx-d... which is more complete.

But when trying to do so, I found I can't login to the wiki; it redirects me to /user/login and says I'm not authorized to access the page. Is there a problem?

It happens from time to time. The solution: go to the MRC front page, logout and login, then go back to the Wiki.

I guess it's a security aganst spammers.

Hey,

On the PSG wiki page I added a table of machines which output stereo. For a number of machines the balancing is known (looked up in openMSX source), which I’ve extrapolated to the other machines of the same brand. For other machines the channel balance is not known, so it would be nice if this could be determined.

Next, I noticed the National FS-5500F1 and National_FS-5500F2 pages claim these machines support stereo PSG output, however their chipset is listed as the Yamaha S3527 (evidence), which only outputs mono. These superimposing machines have stereo inputs, so I think only those are output in stereo and the PSG is mono. I think we should remove the stereo PSG sound from the description.

The National FS-5000 also claims it’s stereo, but this one actually has a stereo/mono switch on the back and does not have any audio inputs. The chipset is listed as “Probably Yamaha S3527 or Yamaha S1985”. If this machine is indeed stereo as the presence of the switch would suggest, then the chipset must be the Yamaha S1985 or else a discrete PSG or Toshiba engine.

Lastly the Sony HB-F900 page also says it’s stereo, however the main unit only has a single mono output. Perhaps a stereo signal is sent to the HBI-F900 AV unit, I can’t determine this absent a service manual, but it would be nice to confirm.

About MSX-DOS, I fixed many mistakes in syntaxes and somes explanations but there’s still a lot of confusion (for example with environment variables and internal commands like EXPERT, IF, TIME, etc) and parts not clear. It's a bit of a mess. If a expert can fix it and (and face mars2000) because I give up.

This is like the 8280. PSG is mono, despite stereo output.
