@mars2000you Turbo R seems at least more likely since the S1990 fixes the port and the R800 could not be used with it otherwise. But these are HRA’s notes of his 1chipMSX research, and I don’t know if he speaks about an actual standardisation, or whether those are his logical conclusions about how it must be. So again I would ask, where is the source of this information Smile. I’ll ask him on Twitter.

I have finished editing the wiki pages on the VDP registers. I tried to keep as much as possible, but there were too much to change. There are only the basics but I think they are solid now for those who want to improve the content.

What about the Spite Color Register? It's an 'hidden' register, but it needs to be added on this page: https://www.msx.org/wiki/VDP_Table_Base_Address_Registers

These are not registers but the sprite color table in VRAM.

Read better the official doc:

Ok ,there's no register, but there is a table, it should at least be mentioned and explained how to find it.

In addition there is a mistake because the TP bit of register R#8 has no effect on sprites.

This should be explained in the description of the screen modes.

Afaik the TP bit does have effect on sprites.

I also just checked the openMSX source and TP flag changes are communicated to the sprites system, so that confirms my memory.

See also here and here.

Dots having “0” in sprite pattern generator table is transparent even if the TP bit of register R#8 is set, is not!?
This is the case on MSX1, it would be strange if it were not the case in MSX2 screen modes.

Edit: Ah, ok it's to define the color palette of the color 0.
