De Erfenis dutch Copy/preservation/whatever

So i bought an original dutch disk version of De Erfenis at the yearly MVM auction last Saturday
first time i put in in my msx i thought it would kill the drive ....it made that much noise

so i do not trust the floppy that much although the game seems to work
i think it has some kind of copy protection since the only 2 files that are on the floppy are "1" and "2" and no others

i would like to copy/preserve/whatever this disk but i do not know how
i tried dsk-pro disk -> PDI and then PDI -> floppy but that did not work

i know there are cracked floppy on the net but i would like to preserve this one

is is possible??

if so...How?

I think READ-DMK is the better option here (Need MSX with two drives (not shure !) )
To combine the files you need COMBINE-DMK

Let us know if you are able to dump the disk, I am very interested in the the dump too..

Preservation and copying are two separate things.
But you want both, really?

For preservation just use a DMK or PDI image.

Yes, copy protections on floppy disk are real problem. These do not work on all floppy disk drive and abyss faster them. Loading is slower too and prevents loading games from a flash card interface. A lot of people no longer have a drive in good working condition. If you make an image I can try to do something when I have time.

so i have used this read-dmk to make 79 small dmk files which should be merged (?) to one with that combine-dmk.exe which looks like a windows program.
i do not have windows...

but
when i have that one dmk file..how do i write it to disk again?

and another question on read.dmk,why is is it floppy to floppy and not floppy to mass storage?

the source of combine-dmk is in the openMSX source code and also part of Debian/Ubuntu nowadays... (package: dmktools).

Other than DSK-PRO there is no tool to write DMK back to floppy again (on MSX at least).

It's floppy-to-floppy because it was kept extremely simple.

I've made a tool for that (https://www.louthrax.net/mgr/dmk2scp.html), but it requires an extra PC device named Super Card Pro. Maybe I can take it with me in Nijmegen, but I do not give any guarantee on that (have to unmount it from my Desktop PC, and still have lots of things to prepare for Nijmegen...).

Or simpler, just email me the .DMK (or chunks) and I can write them to real floppies that I'll give you on Saturday.

Ah, I may be confused with DMK-Creator by the same author. But I forgot whether it can also write back the DMK to floppy.

Try to use MRC PM ?
