Hi All.
I have Panasonic MSX2 + and Panasonic Turbo R (R800). I have observed that sometimes the screen with Basic has a blue background and sometimes a black background. Applies to both computers. Can anyone tell me what it depends on? Is this some information or a fault?

Empty or no battery?

Better remove / replace it before it leaks.

does this happen randomly Without using any type of MegaFlashROM or Floppies at boot?

It seems to me that sometimes after using a floppy disk
and after a new reset, a change is made

Maybe without battery the initial RTC state is somewhat random?

Btw I’m assuming you mean it boots into a black background, right? Otherwise, the Multi Mente “fish” screensaver changes the background colour to black temporarily.

Turbo R had a black background - when I added RAM to 512, the background turned blue. And now the black background has MSX2+. But the letters are still white.

It's a bit strange.

Certainly! Should be blue by default unless changed with SET SCREEN present a battery.
