Our friends from the Russian Bear Service Crew are going open source with their newest projects:

The MSX BSA (Back Slot Adapter) device is the simple adapter for the back 50-pin MSX slot. It is designed for Yamaha CX5M and similar computers that have the back slot formed as the extension of the motherboard. The adapter converts the back slot into the normal 50-pin MSX slot. So any MSX cartridge can be used with a computer via the BSA.

The MSX FLEX (FLexible EXtender) device is the simple extender of the 50-pin MSX slot or MSX bus. It consists of 3 parts - the cartridge part, the 50-pin slot extender and the 60-pin slot extender modules. The modules are connected to each other with the 50-wire ribbon cable that is approximately 30cm long.

Both projects are open-source and can be found in the RBSC's repository:

Nice pic, Hamlet. Smile CX5M + BSA + FLEX. But actually you don't need FLEX if you use BSA with CX5M. This machine already has the 60-pin slot.

Thanks. Yes, I know.
I just wanted to combine the BSA and FLEX in one image... But, it would be the first YAMAHA with access to two SFGs.

Made something similar several years ago.
I didn't even think there were people who wanted to have this...
