Hi,

Maybe it is asked already multiple times.. sorry for that..
But is it possible to disable the timelinebar in OPENMSX ? As by clicking on it it will move the MSX to that time.. but issue is that i use the mouse a lot on my emulator in SymbOS.. any suggestion?

I know about the options:

set grabinput on
escape_grab

Those can lock the mouse.. but i have to debug a lot, so i just want to "enter" easy with the mouse.. and have to be carefully when clicking to high.

You can put this in your openmsx startup-script:

after time 1 "disable_reversebar"

Yes, but why would you do that?

Just use the setting that is meant for that. To permanently have reverse without reverse bar, as that manual says, just use set auto_enable_reverse on.

Still, if you want to temporarily disable it, leave the auto_enable_reverse setting on gui, but use toggle_reversebar to toggle it (or indeed use disable_reversebar or enable_reversebar).

I'm sure "set auto_enable_reverse on" is the preferred way to deal with this, and I will use that in my scripts going forward.
It's just that if you want to use "disable_reversebar" in the startup-script, my information is that you cannot use it directly according to this issue:
https://github.com/openMSX/openMSX/issues/1248

So, yeah, just a layman's interpretation of the available commands :)

You don't have to put it in any of your scripts, you can just save the setting and it's always like that Smile

Note that disable_reversebar & enable_reversebar are not documented.

-edit: I see they actually are now in the dev. version :)

Though I thought they would fit more in the 'other' section where toggle_reversebar is listed as well. And I would mention them in the reverse section (could easily be missed otherwise).
