Hello, I'm going to show you a small modification that I have made to the Carnivore2 cartridge, because a firmware update has recently been released, and I don't like having to disassemble the cartridge.
I have soldered some pins to the AS (Active Serial) connector
As the pins are a bit long and come out of the cartridge, I have cut them with a dremmel, to leave them in line with the cartridge (They are long enough so that the connection does not fail).
I have made the shape of the connector to the cartridge so as not to connect it backwards.
Here you can see how it turned out.
Here it is with my two toys, my first MSX and the last one that I have soldered with a lot of work.
With this modification, we need to have the cartridge connected to the MSX to power it and be able to program it.
