Hi,
After more than 30 years I'm still in love with the MSX. I started coding basic when I was 6 on a P2000-T with 16kb RAM. Then my father bought us an MSX-2. Although the games were great on this Machine, I wanted to write programs on this great machine. And I did... but never really finished anything worthy to release to the public. But I kept learning, writing and testing assembler programs over the years.
I'm currently working on a few (assembler) projects. One of them is a demo I'd hope to release at some Oldskool demo comp one day. Also a few tools and I have some ideas for a game as well in the future.
But I would like to work together with someone. Not only to create software together but to exchange ideas and motivate each other in creating great software for MSX. As a lot of things in life: 2 heads are better than one.
So what am I looking for (and what I bring myself):
- My preference is for someone who lives in the Netherlands (because this helps with communication), but I am of course open to non-Dutch people.
- Someone who is willing to invest a few hours a week to work on projects together.
- Someone who speaks Z80 assembler fluently and knows the V9938 / V9958 like the back of their hand.
- Experience with writing music, creating graphic or even writing demo's is a (big) plus
- Someone who dares to Make MSX Great Again ;-)
Please let me know if you would like to schedule a voice or chat meeting or if you have questions first. Maybe we could set up a discord group or something with a small group of coders. Not too big at first.
My personal plan is to break every "limit" MSX is supposed to have and show the world what a great machine this is!
