yeah, clearly. I've had a NES and, in comparison with MSX, the games just didn't catch-on. It lacks deph mostly. Maybe I am biased too, dunno.
I never knew Konami hit MSX with this tittle :

ro, did you mean Turtles? It was made by Probe and published by Imageworks. Konami just got the money (from licence) and that´s Konami´s only part in it. Shame... I hoped to see Konami´s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on MSX when I was young!

It even had colors and was playable. So much better than usual tape conversions at the time.

Oh, so it was actually released for MSX? hah, didn't know that. Well it looks kinda descent... not?

Actually Turtles was very playable, a Speccy conversion obviously, but better than the rest of them.

Yes, it looks really good for being a Spectrum port! Though I think it didn´t have any sound or then it was just some crackles and clicks? But I meant I dreamed about Konami style screen 2 MSX game back then. never knew MSX had such turtles spectrum port back then.

The game does everything including sprites on 8x8 pixel boundaries.

So the ZX version already had the color. It got the same graphics, see youtube. If MSX version got speed, then they probably managed to do it charset style.
