Anybody interested in Yamaha V9958 VDP ?

Depends on how many I have to order. The more the cheaper...
I think 1 chip is normally 2000 yen (about 15 euro).
(keep in mind that they also need to be shipped from Japan, but that shouldn't be expensive because of the low weight)

If I find enough people interested, I could make a little HOWTO website about installing a V9958 (I will make a photoshoot of me installing one then ...

Heh, I got two of them already . A similar purchase was done a few years ago. I let Bas from MCWF replace the v9938 with a socket, and he did it very well (the way he did it, it is still compatible with a v9938) (I haven't seen the method described anywhere, I guess I'll have to take a look how it's done once and then publish it) and it wasn't too expensive I believe. Then I could just plug in my v9958 and all worked like a charm.
