not yet: openmsx for android has only cbios, I have to download and configure a rom with basic to tell you how it goes
I did a quick test with my Italian keyboard:
Left Shift gives "N"
Right Shift gives "N"
Left CTRL gives "N"
Right CTRL gives nothing
Ah, I see. Will fix it in the next release, no problem. Could you tell me what the other keyboard keys (like letters and digits) produce?
ARTRAG: you can put your system ROMs on the SD card in the openMSX/share directory and all machines that need those system ROMs will work.
I tested the latest release on openmsx on the same miniPC with the same keyboard.
In basic, apart the usual mismatch between the Italian keyboard and the Japanese keyboard (I tested a TR-GT), there were strange random problems. Some keys (including enter and '.') stay pressed or start being pressed randomly.
The 'usual mismatch' should not be relevant on openMSX, because openMSX tries to fix that by translating the character that the user intended to type to proper keypresses on the MSX.
So, can you elaborate on the 'usual mismatch' problems?
Does it work better on European models?
I have released fMSX-Android 3.6.12, a new version of my MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ emulator:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.fmsx.d...
Starting with this version, you will be able to find stuff printed to the MSX printer in the /sdcard/fMSX/PrinterOutput.txt file. I have also fixed the SHIFT key on the physical keyboards and added support for two missing Xperia Play buttons.
ALL CHANGES:
* Directed MSX printer output to /sdcard/fMSX/PrinterOutput.txt.
* Fixed SHIFT key accidentally triggering N key.
* Fixed support for Xperia Play FIREA and FIREB buttons.
* Added sort-by-date mode to the File Selector.
I did a quick test with my Italian keyboard:
Left Shift gives "N"
Right Shift gives "N"
Left CTRL gives "N"
Right CTRL gives nothing
Please, test the latest fMSX 3.6.12 I have just published in the Google Play Store. It should fix this annoying problem. Sorry for introducing it.
I confirm the problem has been solved
Thanks

Purrrrrfect!
Made an emergency release of fMSX-Android 3.6.13 today, fixing possible buffer overflow problem in the native code and adding extra 15fps when showing screen in "Soften Video" mode:
