1. Is there an MSX emulator that runs .LZH files or do i need to change it to another file type?

2. Can an MSX emulator run floppies from a USB floppy disk drive?Question

Thank you

1. AFAIK there's no MSX emu with native .LZH built in. You'll need to repack the archive into a well known format as .ZIP, that is widely supported.
2. Yes if your Windows supports it and the emulator can work directly with physical drives.

I am afraid no emulator can work directly with drives. I mean you need to mount them as DirAsDisk, so in this way read-only without sector access. Well at least for OpenMSX, BlueMSX and fMSX.

The old compujunks MSX emulator worked over the physical drives, ...even the PC harddisk!. Can't remember about RuMSX or NLMSX...

1. just extract the archive and use the files uncompressed.
2. blueMSX can use real drives and openMSX can do it on Linux with a trick. But why would you want that? I don't think it's very comfortable.

The reason why i want to know is i have four games that are on floppy disk, and a $20 usb disk drive is cheaper than an msx 2.

BlueMSX can read drives as "Insert Directory" option. But you cannot write on disk, format or read it's sectors. You need a .DSK image for that.

openMSX can do that as well, but there you can do whatever you like with it (by default). Well, formatting is useless Tongue

Anyway, just make a disk image of the floppy disk and use it in the emulator!
