From Polaris, an inhabitant of the France-based MSX Village, here's a present for the MSX community. It's a translation of a vintage Japanese RPG called Black Onyx. A help file is included.

Looks like a good quality translation, and not based on the Sega SG-1000 one.
Is there any info on this? Other than the small post on mars's blog (and everyone who webcopied from it;p).

And I can't see any reference to Polaris, not even in the translation documentation. Come on, give yourself some credit. Tongue

Just to say that a japaneese guy 'Yoshifuji Munehiro' and 'Django' have helped a lot.
The game is pretty hard.

Did anybody happen to download this translation before the MSX Blue site was mothballed? I can't seem to find the relevant post in the Internet Archive.

I have a copy of the translation (version 1.0 and 1.1 actually). I got in touch with the guy who did the translation and he even send a lot of sources he made during the translation.
