Similarly to the situation in europe/holland, when the commercial MSX support died out in 1993, amateurs started making pseudo-professional software.

I don't think that 2001 game is truly commercial (and btw, the links are seriously broken).

Anyway, if your definition of 'commercial' means 'making a profit', then the Sunrise games released during the 90's are all commercial as well...

Likewise, there have been Gameboy and GBA games commercially released which were created by a 'amateur' team, so it's hard to draw the line, isn't it?

I think however that with 'commercial companies' we refer to companies that have a number of employees that get payed each month, while the Sunrise-games are basically amateur-games, made without company-employee mechanism, that are simply making some money in the end because of the sales.
