hhmm.. lets hope it runs on the one-chip-MSX
Gheh, connect a CDROM player to it
About the EVA conversion thing: I assume you make EVA movies from AVI movies (using Buppu's AVI2EVA.EXE). If you could modify the code (source is included ), you could encode EVAs in RGB format. I think 256 colours is enough for 12FPS movies
. EVAs are encoded in YJK in AVI2EVA, so you should either modify the code, or write yourself another program. I don't exactly know how the EVA format is constructed, I assume a frame consist of 128*106 bytes video data + one 15.75kHz sound frame. If you're not able to construct such a tool, you might find someone who can on these forums.
I mean, you know how YJK on a RGB screen looks, try to load a SC12 picture on screen 8 without the YJK/YAE-bits set and look at the result Bit reddish and greenish
but since I have now 9 copies already burnt, those will be MSX2+ then... maybe the next batch will be msx2 compatible Indeed, just make two seperate versions of the game. That would probably save you some time too. Just and DAD_MSX2 dir on your CR-ROM with the program files and the converted EVAs would do the trick just fine...
looks very good, i want a copy too
where can i get it and what is the price?
Looking nice
Finally, more games for MSX, I saw the series of small and that has been taken to our system it seems to me I magnify. For when it is on sale? . I want it. Thanks to continue working for MSX.
Slotman: I assume that if you're going to make this game MSX2+@7MHz only, you will detect the v9958 chip by its VDP ID value and not the MSX version number, hm? ^_^ Because my MSX2 has 7MHz and v9958, but not the 2+ BIOS ROMs .
About the force screen 8 option: that sounds like it will just not set the YJK bit to enable screen 12. People with a monitor which can display in 'green' (disabling the R and B channels) will indeed still be able to (somewhat) see the imagery in 8 shades of green.
By the way, cool, I want this .

That's a really simple and good idea! I'll sure use it
For everyone who wants to buy it, the 9 copies I took to MSX-Jau were sold out, and there are still a lot of people who wants it
But as I said, there will be a next batch as soon as I complete a working MSX2 version, and I will somehow manage a way to sell it outside Brazil, just a matter of time now

I am going to make it MSX2 compatible @ 7Mhz!
Just the first batch was MSX2+ only, because I didnt know about that EVA problem... but one question, MSX2 bios is the same as MSX2+?
If not I'll have to check the hole program to make sure there are no 2+ bios calls...
Yeah, it's pretty much the same... I doubt you'd be using any special calls. Hell, they didn't even bother to adapt CHGMOD!
