That is intentional; you can only edit your posts for one (or maybe it's 2, I forgot) hours.

Hi Jorito.
Why this kind of limitation? As I published a list of items which I'm selling, I'd really love to edit the first post (thread-starter) and simply apply "strikethrough" on the items I already sold.
Is there any chance to have the time limit removed?
Thanks,
F.

while we are at it, I think its hard sometimes to find posts by a specific member. What is the best way to do that? I sometimes have trouble locating my OWN posts.

Use advanced Google search, it's always better than any other kind of searching tools.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before - but it would be nice/convenient when clicking a link in the 'Latest reactions' section actually links to that precise reaction (using an id/hash), so the browser window can bring that reaction immediately in focus / scrolls down to it? (The same applies to 'Latest forum posts')

Related to that - it would be great anyway to be able to link directly to a specific post/reaction. I guess the date/time could suffice for providing that link.

And some other things, perhaps mentioned before:

* start using SSL?
That is, at least when logging in & setting a new password..?
Quite important IMO.

* fix the search
This just seems broken?
It seems to find reactions, but it doesn't link to them (the date/time could suffice for that).

When I go to look something up, by date, I find a totally other reaction there?

e.g. http://www.msx.org/search/apachesolr_search/https

1st result = 'supermario world for msx' by norakomi on 09-06-2011, 10:37
I look it up, by date, and I find a post by ARTRAG??
http://www.msx.org/forum/development/msx-development/superma...

2nd result = 'Doom on z80' by ARTRAG on 29-10-2011, 10:39
When I go look that post op, I find different content than that's displayed in the search.
http://www.msx.org/forum/development/msx-development/doom-z8...

(It seems it uses the original poster as the name to display, and just searches in the whole topic..
But then the date displayed doesn't make any sense?)

And a usefull function/addition would be the ability to search inside a topic.

Thanks!

Os there a way (or an option) to restrict my "public e-mail address" to be viewed only by those who are logged in on MRC's website? Currently anyone will be able to see it, and that's asking out loud to receive mountains of SPAM.

Yeah, I removed my email from my profile for that reason.

Don't worry... I'm still not able to see your e-mail address...

I'm asking on this thread because I remembered what happened: Just like Grauw, I cleared the "public e-mail" field after I notice back then that it could be seen by everyone, and I thought that the "e-mail address" field would be seen by those who were logged in.

But now I know that the "e-mail address" is only seen/used by the MRC service, and the "public e-mail" is shown to everyone. It seems that there's no option to show your e-mail only to logged users.

A few suggestion:

1. I would like to see some form of "latest uploads" like latest reactions. It would seem some ppl added some stuff to the DL database, or at least they said so in forum topics, but there is no real way to locate them directly. As far as I know, there is no way of actually KNOWING something new is added unless there is a forum or news post about it..

2. At the front page there are "latest forum posts" and "latest reactions", under each box there is a link like more forum posts or view the archive, those lead to the general forum or news archive page. Instead of that, I would like to see a longer list of latest forum posts or reactions. Sort of like a list of "latest activity".
