About the size of the Altera Cyclone FPGA chip used in the One Chip MSX: by default it is configged as a 'boosted' MSX1 config, the FGPA is definitely large enough to implement the V9938 and everything else needed to make it work as an MSX2, including MSX-MUSIC emulation, in it. As stated several times before, there are only a couple of timing issues left to be solved, that's all. I have seen it work with my own eyes, but you can do so as well, just have a look at this photoshoot, you will see many One Chip MSXes with the Altera Cyclone FPGA core, most of which are running MSX2 software such as Solid Snake and Space Manbow.

I do too. I just don't think a bright future rests on games and demo's "every now and then". It's just that I found out there's is much more to enjoy from in the past than there will be in the future. Maybe my message comes across somewhat blurred (I've never been good at finding the right words at the right time), but I guess what I'm trying to say is that good memories bring a life-time of happiness. (Am I sounding corny or what?). I'm just trying not to get those memories scrambled by current and future issues we encounter here at the MRC forums (flamewars, people getting hurt, endless discussions and so on. You get the picture).

That is true. In that case, time is indeed better spent on the MSX itself.
