i just found a floppy labelled compass 1.2 and remembered this thread

here is a part of the readme file

This betaversion will only be available on the CD-ROM that will be made
by MCCM. This is a FULL FUNCTIONAL promoversion. Version 1.2 or maybe
v2.0 will be released at the fair in Tilburg in 1998.

I am allso very interested in the latest version of compass,
all tho i have the 1.2 Demo version from the MCCM-Millenium CD
but this version does not work perfect on my Turbo-r.

Does anyone know /if and /where i can buy the latest version of compass. ?

The Compass 1.2 Demo version is allso available at the Comjoetania Website

I bought latest version (1.2.09) from Jon in 2008, so I think he might be willing to sell it to you too... The price back then was 20€

It would be nicer if it was just put online as a free download…

It’s a great assembler but it’s hard to obtain.

My previous nickname here was Mirg, so this is my old topic, haha. Like NYYRIKKI, I paid €20,- and have version 1.2.09. It came on disk with my name hardcoded into it. You see it in the booting sequence and it always brings a smile to my face.

There's really good documentation available online on turbor's website, and Grauw has some quick tips on his website.

I found a nice Compass Tutorial, alltho it is in portuguese (translated with Google translate)
The Keyboard Shortcuts are Really Useful.

This bug is easy to fix,

- Download Compass 1.2 Demo version and extract it.
- open Compas12.di2 with a HEX editor.
- Change @ adress #7AA85 #C0 in to #C8.

Now changing CPU mode to R800/Z80 with the HAI (YES) / IEE (NO) keys is working again on the turbo R.
