The ROMs are not related to the freeze problem. A bad dump could cause the game not to boot or glitches, but it will not affect the flashing process.

I love this product. I wish I could go back in time and buy the 512kb version instead though. Holding control to load MultiMente on my AX-350II on every boot sucks. Smile

Only improvement i can think of: Indicator light for disk activity on the cartridge itself.

If they add that, then I'll rebuy it - with EXTRA ram this time! Smile

Yes,I agree. Led Indicator is very useful (MFRSCCSD Using with Casio PV16) and More ... More ... RAM is very handy when Franky VDP is present at least 2048K.

I'm an MSX lover , but not expert.
I have a few questions for the experts.
- Can we store data from MSX1 computer to the MegaFlashRom cartridge as we store within real MSX FDD? .
- Can we transfer Rom file from PC to the MegaFlashRom cartridge so we can use it as a real MSX cartridge? ,I mean let the Rom program start immediately after switching on the computer , like any real cartridge ?
- Is The MegaFlashRom useful with MSX1 with 32kB or 64kB RAM ? what is the deference ?

alshamaa: I recommend you to read the (in my opinion) very clear manual of the Mega Flash ROM SCC+ SD. It contains all answers you seek.

But, you *are* talking about the MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD, right? So, the one with the SD card interface?

1) what kind of data do you mean?
2) you can put ROM images on the SD card, and flash those into the MegaFlashROM cartridge and then run them as a ROM.
3) Yes, if you use the one with the built in 512kB memory mapper. Difference between what and what?

Right , that what I'm taking about

I mean any kind of data can be transferred fro the MSX to out side storage device as cassette or floppy disk .

BETWEEN MSX1 32kB and MSX1 64kB RAM , is there any effects for the MSX RAM while we are using the MegaFlashROM ?

You can use the SD card as a very large disk drive with the MFR SCC+SD.

I don't think 32k or 64k matters, as long as you have the MFR SCC+SD with the 512kB RAM included.

The ROM drive is just a disk image, so you can modify it with a disk image editing tool or in an emulator, and when it’s ready you can re-load it onto the MFRSCC+SD using OPFXSD romdisk.dsk /ID.
